Professional Experience
Tom Vogtner is a member of both the firm's Real Estate and Land Use Team and its Construction, Environmental and Real Property Liability Team. During his thirty year career, Mr. Vogtner has prepared and negotiated construction and architectural agreements for major developments, including office buildings, retail, municipal and commercial properties and utility projects and has represented both owners and service providers. Tom has extensive knowledge in the integration of technology into such projects and in the allocation of rights in such technology. He has also assisted a variety of clients locating in Indiana in obtaining state and local economic incentive packages in connection with their projects.
In the real estate area, Tom has been lead attorney on a wide variety of real estate acquisition, leasing and financing projects involving all types of commercial, industrial, municipal and retail properties. He has considerable expertise in multi-site, multi-state transactions. He has practiced extensively in the real estate financing area, representing both lenders and borrowers on a regular basis. Mr. Vogtner has worked extensively with both landlords and tenants in leasing of industrial, commercial and retail properties. Since 2002, Tom has represented buyers and sellers in the transfer of approximately 2000 convenience stores in numerous states.
